Stucco & kickout flashing repair at a chimney

Private homeowner · Niskayuna, NY

Prime contractor

EIFS & stuccoRestoration & waterproofing

Site assessment at the chimney, September 2026
Site assessment at the chimney, September 2026

Scope

Removal of damaged stucco at a roof-to-wall connection beside the chimney, new roof-to-wall and kickout flashing with drip edge, stucco rebuilt at the new flashing and a fresh finish coat over the full wall area so the repair doesn't show.

Challenge
Leaks during heavy rain traced to missing kickout flashing on a home the owners had bought a year earlier.
Solution
Fix the flashing, then the stucco — and re-finish the whole area rather than a patch.
Result
Completed September 2026, including a change order to replace a small area of damaged EIFS found once the wall was opened.
