After: the repainted grandstand from the field, July 2026

Scope

Complete exterior repaint of the stadium's structural steel — seating supports, railings, stair stringers and canopies — and of its EIFS wall surfaces, in the university's purple and gold. Steel: cleaning and pressure washing of chalked coatings, mechanical removal of failed film, epoxy spot-priming of rust at base plates and welds, and waterborne alkyd-urethane enamel topcoats. EIFS: pressure washing, crack and impact repair, and a breathable elastomeric masonry coating matched to the campus colors. Change-order work included the box-office canopy and an additional guardrail.

Challenge
A working athletic facility with a hard deadline before the fall season, a state contract that required Office of the State Comptroller approval before a single gallon could be ordered, and a substrate with chalked purple coating over localized rust.
Solution
Product data, SDS packet and a manufacturer-approved prep standard were submitted and approved up front; evening shifts under stadium lights kept the schedule; certified payroll and job-site postings were maintained to NYSDOL requirements.
Result
Work complete in August 2026; punch list completed with the university's project representative and closeout in progress.
