332 Ninth Street — north elevation masonry rebuild

Troy Community Land Bank Corporation · Troy, NY

Prime contractor — RFP award, contract executed with the land bank board; masonry subcontracted

MasonryRestoration & waterproofing

After: the rebuilt and repointed north elevation, August 2026
After: the rebuilt and repointed north elevation, August 2026

Scope

Repair and partial rebuild of a deteriorated north-elevation masonry wall on a land-bank-owned building: selective demolition, brick rebuild and repointing, helical-tie anchoring per the engineer's details, and City of Troy permitting and insurance requirements. Masonry by our subcontracted mason under TDCG supervision.

Challenge
A structurally compromised wall on a narrow urban lot, work that could not begin until the state's environmental paperwork cleared, and an engineer's mid-project review that revised the tie-back detail.
Solution
The wall was brought into conformance with the revised engineering — additional helical ties installed course by course — with progress documented in photos at every draw.
Result
Project complete; final invoice issued in August 2026. The land bank has since invited TDCG to price additional properties.
